Everybody is a genius…
Everybody is a genius.  But if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid.
(Albert Einstein)

Stand up… Keep smiling… Keep telling yourself and the world that,”You’re fine, you’re good….”

But You’re NOT!” You’re in pain and you’re all broken up inside…You’ve been trying to hold it all together, as the song, Truth be Told by Matthew West goes.

Don’t believe the lie that you’re too big, too stupid or too ugly. You’re not a tree or an anchovy. You don’t have to hide in order to blend in.

You’re unique, beautiful and majestic! You’re not a carbon copy of someone else’s expectations of you. Your strength, your size or your quirk is nothing to be ashamed of. Honesty is what you really need right now. So admit it with pride,”I’m a whale!”. Be happy!

I have always had a vivid imagination, even as a child, and tended to be more sensitive emotionally than my siblings.  My dad used to favor my brothers and bought them toy cars with race tracks or toy soldiers.  I loved dolls as a child because I had so few. You see, my dad would rather buy me books because my mum thought dolls were a waste of money. In any case, he did buy me a doll and I loved sewing clothes for it. I remember I even attempted to use my mum’s sewing machine when I was just nine years old.

However, I struggled with drawing the designs. My sister, on the other hand, was very gifted in drawing. She could draw the Disney ‘bambi’ deer and all the Disney characters like Snow White and the dwarfs when she was as young as five years old.

I had a very bad ‘art’ experience in school when I was in first grade. My teacher was not very kind or encouraging when she saw my drawing of a ‘chair’ and that made me think I couldn’t draw.

However, later, I discovered I could copy designs quite well. So I thought I was at least innovative, because I could adapt what I saw. It was only at a prophetic art class which I signed up for very much later in life, that I discovered that I could paint. And now, I even teach prophetic art! So you never know when your hidden talent may emerge. Just press in and practice. I can now say that ‘I’m an artist’.
